MACAU, February 13, 2007 Crown Macau, the contemporary and luxurious hotel and casino development pioneering the six star experience in Macau, takes great pleasure in announcing the appointment of two of Asia's most prestigious and decorated culinary forces, providing a taster of the world-class dining experiences it plans to offer, at what is set to become the premier destination for the high-end gaming and leisure travel markets.

The combined fortes of internationally renowned chefs Kristoffer Luczak, appointed Director of Kitchens, and Kwok Fung Tam, appointed Head Chef of Crown's signature Chinese restaurant "Ying" (帝影樓), together epitomize the superlative dining standard that will be available throughout Crown Macau's range of fine dining restaurants.

As Director of Kitchens, Luczak will be responsible for defining the culinary direction of all the restaurants and cafes at the property.

Born in Stockholm Sweden, Luczak has enjoyed a prestigious 20-year career history. His passion for the fine art of cooking has led him to work extensively all over the world, including Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the USA, where he has taken leading roles at some of the finest hotels groups including The Ritz Carlton, The Peninsula and The Oberoi and most recently as Executive Chef at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Amongst his many awards, Luczak was instrumental in winning the Travel & Leisure "Best Food in Asia 2004" Award for the Peninsula Hotel in Bangkok whilst he was Executive Chef.

Combining classical techniques with the pearls of international experience, Luczak's work is driven by a desire to delight his patrons with a surprise in each dish, thus providing a truly unique and memorable dining experience.

As Head Chef at "Ying" (帝影樓), Chef Tam, most recently Executive Chinese Chef at the Peninsula Hotel in Bangkok, brings to Crown Macau a portfolio of unrivaled skills in Chinese cooking, honed over twenty-five celebrated years of experience across Asia. During his sparkling career, which spans China, Thailand and Hong Kong, Chef Tam has routinely crafted dishes for the world's leaders including royal families from Thailand, Japan and Nepal as well as a host of presidents and political figureheads.

Chef Tam is widely recognized for his in-depth understanding of how Chinese medicine can be interwoven with ancient Taoist culinary techniques to provide patrons with traditional rural Chinese dishes that are also believed to preserve the body's balance, longevity and health. His talents have been recognized at the highest level when, in 2004, he was honoured with the Gold Medal from the World Association of Chinese Cuisine, arguably the pre-eminent prize of its kind.

"Macau is one of the fastest developing territories in the region, and the opportunity to create unique and memorable dining experiences for an increasingly sophisticated clientele is really exciting", enthused Tam. "Crown Macau's "Ying" (帝影樓) restaurant will provide the perfect setting to present the finest in Chinese dining."

"Given Crown Macau's superior positioning, we will be offering a truly six star dining experience" added Luczak. My role is to ensure that the restaurants throughout the property reflect this mandate. I relish the opportunity to hone Crown Macau's culinary offerings to ensure that they are more than just the best in Macau. We intend to offer food that matches the highest standards found anywhere in the world."
